Pillar collapses on car in Shomolu, Lagos, kills driver (photos)

The unfortunate incident happened this morning somewhere in Somolu. According to an eye-witness, just a few seconds after the driver of this car packed, the pillar directly opposite it fell on it, squashing both the driver and the front side of the car. When the driver didn't attempt to come out of the car after the incident, people went closer to the car and found he had been killed by the pillar. The car was later dismantled to get him out. My goodness! When will these men be stopped? Yesterday, ISIS militants released a video showing how they murdered 5 prisoners accused of being spies in the ISIS stronghold of Mosul. They actually put a camera inside the pool to show how the terrified men struggled to breath until they drowned.

The Lagos State Government has made its intention known that Okada riders will from now hence forth stop plying major roads in the State. While speaking yesterday, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Oluseyi Coker had noted that the riders were restricted from 475 routes out of the 9,100 roads in Lagos in 2012 but they soon came back.
