Ayo Oritsejafor has sued the Lagos state governor, Mr. Babatunde
Fashola, over plans to demolish his church located in Victoria Island
The Word of Life Bible Church, situated in Plot 21E, Abdulrahman Okene Close, off Ligali Ayorinde Street is said to have been approved to be demolished by the Lagos state government allegedly.
Co-defendants of the suit are the state’s Attorney General, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Lagos state Building Control Agency, Lagos State Physical Planning permit Authority and Lagos State Task force on Environmental Sanitation.
The suit asks the court for an order of interlocutory injunction, restraining the state government from demolishing, destroying, dispossessing or forcibly ejecting the church from the property.
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, he has been accused of being pro politics for the past couple of years.
