Nigerian military has released pictures of tanks,
artillery guns and first aid medical tools, recovered from Boko Haram
insurgents by the Civilian-JTF and troops, when they repelled the
terrorists from Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
According to officials, Nigerian troops yesterday, January 26, were
fully in control of Maiduguri and Konduga, the two cities Boko Haram
attacked in the early hours of Sunday, noting that the battle had
continued into the early hours of Monday.

The curfew in Maiduguri has been extended, while members of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign train who were trapped as a result of the curfew, left for Abuja yesterday.



Meanwhile, an unmanned drone has reportedly crashed 30 km from Maiduguri.
Also, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) team preparing a campaign rally for President Jonathan were trapped in Maiduguri after the Boko Haram attack.
The terrorists recently overcame the 243rd Battalion of the Nigerian army deployed at Monguno barracks.
