News just in reveals that another catastrophe has
occurred in Marina today, January 16, 2015, Friday as there is yet
another fire outbreak in the popular Eko/Berlin Market.
Eye witnesses say the fire started around 4am in one of the tall buildings at Eko/Berlin Market, around CBN building.
Shops and other buildings have been submerged by fire but though the fire service is trying their best to put it out.
Sources say that millions of Naira and property have been lost as a result of this disastrous event.
DailyTrust reports that the fire outbreak that occurred behind Mandilas at Marina had men of the Lagos State Fire Service battling to put-out the fire.
Fire men are still battling to put-out a fire outbreak at three warehouses at Kirikiri area of Lagos metropolis where inflammable products like tyres were stored.
Confirming the latest fire outbreak in Lagos, the Director of Fire Service in the State, Mr. Rasaq Fadipe said in the last 24 hours, the state fire service men have been battling eight different fire outbreaks among which was the 12 rooms at Ilasamaja area of the city.
He urged Lagosians to be extra careful about how they handle naked light and always put-off all electrical appliances when they are not in use. Fadipe also enjoined smokers to ensure they handle remains of their cigarettes after smoking.
Meanwhile, there has been lots of traffic diversion on Lagos Island as a result of the fire that was still on behind Mandilas
However, Nigeria radio station, Nigerian Info 99.3fm has just reported that the fire has been successful put out by the fire fighters.







This is coming just few days after something of similar vein occurred at the popular Balogun market that left to the lost of properties
