Boko Haram Attacks Borno Village

The village of Ngamdu in Kaga local government area of Borno state is currently under Boko Haram attack, security sources said.

According to a Leadership report, the insurgents attacked the village at about 11.30am this morning.
A police officer working in the area said that the attack was still ongoing at 12pm.
A reporter, who passed through the nearly deserted village minutes before the attack, saw several cars and trucks that were burnt by the terrorists last week.
Ngamdu suffered similar attacks about a week ago and six people were reportedly killed.
On Saturday, February 28, two female suicide bombers killed themselves and two bystanders at Ngamdu village in Kaga local government area of the state.

Ngamdu is about 100km from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital and about 35km away from Damaturu, the capital of Yobe.
Just yesterday, reports surfaced that Boko Haram militants had launched a deadly attack on Gombi in Gombi local government area of Adamawa state. However, Nigerian troops were said to have repelled the attack, killing scores and recovering various weapons from the insurgents.
