Bus Conductor Falls Off Bus, Crushed To Death

A bus conductor identified as Babatunde Baba reportedly has been crushed to death by a hit and run driver.

The Lagos state police command is on the manhunt for the hit and run driver who allegedly crushed the bus conductor.
It is understood that the bus conductor was hanging from a moving commercial bus from the Iwaya axis heading to Yaba when he fell off the bus.
Unfortunately, before he could get himself up, an on-coming vehicle ran over him and crushed him, leading to his death.
The Lagos state police spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.
He said: “We received a report at about 6.15a.m that one Babatunde Baba a bus conductor of Number 5 Adekunpopo Street  Iwaya allegedly fell off from a bus and was run over by an unidentified vehicle from behind along the Herbert Marculay Road Yaba.
“The victim died on the spot and his corpse was deposited at the Mainland General hospital mortuary for autopsy. The case is being investigated at the Yaba Division to arrest the driver“.
Bus conductors in Lagos are known for being very reckless and also aggressive.
